Job Summary: Watoto is seeking to recruit a Security Supervisor that will ensure the security and safety of Watoto facilities, property, and people.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervision of the external security team
- Conduct regular operational meetings to review, monitor and upgrade the performance of the external security team.
- Conduct frequent site checks to ensure adherence to the standard operating procedures by the external security Team.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and take records of all assets taken out and brought back into the premises.
- To patrol the Watoto premises at regular intervals, record every security related incident in the security diary (SD) and ensure to investigate any security breach incident in accordance with the security best practices.
- Maintain an UpToDate log of all incidents, complaints and occurrences and ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve them in a timely manner.
Manage Security and safety of Watoto Staff, Church members and Guests
- Monitor the arrival and departure of contractors and ensure that they have the correct permissions to work on site.
- Monitor and set the intruder alarm, CCTV system including the investigation of alarm activation.
- Listen to and resolve all employees and guest queries and complaints in accordance with the security best practices.
- Monitor keys issued to staff and students, ensure that they are returned and maintain a key control record.
- Respond to all emergency situations and provide First Aid and C.P.R. as required
- Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards.
- Report and investigate occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity, and crisis situations.
- Ensure proper security screening of all people accessing Watoto sites and collaborate with the volunteers to provide security and proper parking for events,
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the role should have a minimum of an ordinary level certificate.
- At least four years of working experience in a security role in a busy organisation.
- Computer knowledge in Microsoft Window applications
- Certification in CPR First Aid
- Valid Rider’s permit is an added advantage
- Women are highly encouraged to apply
- Should be a good communicator, able to write and present analytical and informative reports.
- Must have a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, trust, good work ethic and sound judgement.
