Job Summary: We are looking for a suitable candidate to take on the role of Temporary Project Assistant – SHIPS. This position will Strengthen HIVST in the private sector, by way of building self-care insight driven campaign that features and positions HIVST as part of a larger HIV prevention and SRH.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning and implementation of pharmacy and targeted community activations and provide follow up support for continuous improvement.
- Conduct routine pharmacy support supervision visits and promptly address identified gaps
- Continuously monitor adherence to approved SOPs and data quality procedures according to PSIU standards.
- Continuously mentor providers and activation team to promote bundling of HIVST and SRH self-care products to increase demand and uptake.
- Follow through with participating pharmacy Outlets for quality and timely reporting.
- Work with learning officer to conduct timely data entry, cleaning, analysis and sharing of insights from data collected from pharmacies and call center.
- Monitor digital engagements and share feedback with digital manager for improvements.
- Coordinate with supply chain including ordering, distribution and tracking of commodities, promotional products, and IEC materials to pharmacies and targeted communities in the pilot area.
- Coordinate with pharmacies and distributors of approved HIVST kits for product security.
- Prepare and submit periodic activity progress reports, learnings and best practices on pharmacy implementation model, activations, and digital campaigns.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Diploma in public health, health economic or equivalent
- Bachelors degree in M&E or project planning and management is an added advantage.
- Experience in implementing Human Centered Design approaches (HCD) is an added advantage.
- Experience in working with private health providers in HIV and SRH service delivery is highly desirable
- Ability to work in a fast paced and flexible work environment desirable.
- Computer literate with understanding of Microsoft word, excel, power Point and internet use.
- Should be familiar with pilot area (Kampala) environment and be ready to start immediately

- Report writing skills (timely and accurate)
- Work-plan development and budgetary skills.
- Capacity building skills for partners.
