Job Summary:  We are Currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated, technically experienced, and competent person, with zeal to perform beyond expectations and excited to Join a 27-year leading steel manufacturer as an Electrical Technician.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Timely electrical trouble shooting and root cause analysis in case of break downs.
  • Implement the preventive maintenance schedule for all factory electrical equipment.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.
  • Maintenance of the factory power substations.
  • Ensure safety at the workplace as per ISO and IEE standards.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • At least two years of experience in the same field and similar work environment.
  • Knowledge of electronics systems is an added advantage.
  • Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
  • Must be self-motivated and a great team player.
