Job Summary: We are Currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated, technically experienced, and competent person, with zeal to perform beyond expectations and excited to Join a 27-year leading steel manufacturer as an Electrical Technician.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Timely electrical trouble shooting and root cause analysis in case of break downs.
- Implement the preventive maintenance schedule for all factory electrical equipment.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.
- Maintenance of the factory power substations.
- Ensure safety at the workplace as per ISO and IEE standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- At least two years of experience in the same field and similar work environment.
- Knowledge of electronics systems is an added advantage.
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
- Must be self-motivated and a great team player.
