Job Summary: The IT Intern will carry out software installations, computer maintenance as well as repair
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up hardware.
- Install and configure software and drivers.
- Maintain & repair technological equipment (Desktops, Personal Computers) and other peripheral devices.
- Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain up-to-date
- Troubleshoot Computer failures, bugs and provide solutions to restore service.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a first degree specifically in IT or related filed from a recognized institution with a minimum of a second class upper or its equivalent.
- Exposure to IT maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot the common network problems.
- Knowledge of the different hardware used on the network.
- Understanding of the different system configurations.
- Ability to solve common computer user problems
- The ability to think logically and work as a team
- Strong customer care and problem solving skills
