Avanti Energy Services Limited (Avanti) is a Ugandan national company, which engages in providing services to the upstream oil and gas production industry within Uganda. Avanti was awarded a contract by a major oil and gas service company to source and employ in excess of 100 Ugandan engineers, technicians, operators and laborers to support their oil drilling operations within Uganda.
Job Summary: Avanti is seeking qualified candidates to immediately apply for positions. Preference shall be provided to candidates living near or originally from areas near Lake Albert. The company is searching for Ugandan nationals below 35 years of age .
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Possessing a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical – electrical or petroleum engineering or geology or a certificate from a technical institute in the following areas: electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, welding, and crane and/or fork-lift operations;
- Previous oil drilling or similar experience is highly valued, but not necessary;
- Physically fit and able to remain at the project site for an extended period and;
- A willingness to be trained and mentored in the areas of oil drilling operations.
NB: The majority of positions shall be based at the project site working a 28/28 day rotation, which is 28 days continuous working onsite followed by 28 days of rest. While working on-site the employees shall be provided at no cost with accommodations, sustenance, transportation and personal protective equipment.
