About US:
Founded in 2001, the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU), is an indigenous, national faith-based organization uniting efforts of religious institutions to jointly address issues of common concern. IRCU is constituted by; the Roman Catholic Church (RCC), the Church of the Province of Uganda (Church Of Uganda-COU), the Uganda Orthodox Church (UOC), the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC), the Seventh-day Adventist Uganda Union (SDAUU), the Born Again Faith in Uganda (BAF) and the National Alliance of Pentecostal and Evangelical Churches in Uganda (NAPECU). Similarly, IRCU works with other religious organizations, namely the Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’i, the Methodist and Lutheran Churches.
Job Summary: To initiate programmes for monitoring, evaluation and reporting of progress and performance of the IRCU in line with IRCU reporting requirements and donor expectations, and ensure that regular program reporting is received from all beneficiary organizations according to predefined criteria and established quality standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all programmes for monitoring, evaluation and reporting of progress and performance of the IRCU;
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff and partners to draw and review strategic plans in line with the M&E principles and best practices
- Provide technical support and guidance to IRCU in developing and maintaining M&E mechanisms in line with the M&E framework and policies
- Document and disseminate programming information useful to the organization in line with the M&E Policy
- Prepare regular monitoring reports for IRCU members and donors.
- Participate in and /or co-ordinate IRCU reviews/reflections on M&E/unit programs
- Prepare plans and budgets for the M&E function in line with IRCU financial procedures Represent IRCU in monitoring and evaluation meetings with stakeholders, government and other development partners.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Statistics or Economics or Demographics
- Degree in Statistics or Economics or Computer Science or Population Studies.
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in an M&E position responsible for implementing M&E activities of international development projects.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and operating project M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages.
- Experience in designing and managing beneficiary monitoring and database systems.
- Good leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build and motivate an effective team.
- Must have well-developed analytical and reporting skills
- High level of integrity.
