UGAFODE Microfinance Limited (MDI) is a registered financial institution in Uganda and is adherent to the Central Bank’s regulations and guidelines and was founded in 1994 to provide quality microfinance services.
Job Summary: Responsible for developing business growth strategies and plans, managing client relationships (acquiring and retaining), developing client focused products as well as identification and mapping business strengths against customer needs so as to guarantee increased incomes and growth of UGAFODE (MDI) Ltd.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Business Growth Strategies: Develop business growth strategies and plans aimed at maximizing income.
- Identifying new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers’ relationships, products and managing services standards.
- Business reporting: Providing timely and accurate business reports including identification and mapping business strengths and customer needs so as to analyze service standards and income trends for UGAFODE (MDI) Ltd in line with internal processes and best practice.
- Relationship Management: Grow new client relationships through sales and marketing as well as retaining those relationships in a professional manner aimed at maximizing their share of wallet.
- Product development: In consultation with clients, develop, seek approval and profile new products and value proposition for UGAFODE (MDI) Ltd so as to make it more competitive.
- Marketing and branding: Discussing promotional strategy and activities with the marketing and sales personnel and ensuring adherence to service processes and standards in line with UGAFODE (MDI) structures.
- Driving sales: Approving sales and marketing plans for UGAFODE (MDI) Ltd, carry out sales forecasts and analysis thereby driving income for the institution.
- Research & Business intelligence: Researching for business opportunities and viable income streams through market intelligence and best practices in order to grow UGAFODE (MDI) business
- Managing service: Support and enhance UGAFODE’s service offering and turnaround time through call center and other service channels so as to promote efficient operations.
- Procedures and Compliance: Reviews compliance reports done on sections (call center, channels, sales etc.) in regards to Business Growth dep’t activities at Head office and branch level and performs timely follow-up and closure of issues raised and design action plans for minimizing similar lapses to avoid repeat audits.
- Team Leadership: Take full responsibility for performance management of all direct reports.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or any other business related subject. MBA is desirable.
- Experience in developing business and customer outreach strategies, Marketing, Communication and Fundraising.
- At least five years’ senior management experience preferably from MDI/bank.
- Project management and networking skills.
- Must possess a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
