Mildmay Uganda is an indigenous Christian NGO that offers General and HIV/AIDS medical services also providing technical support for Ministry of Health Systems to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services.

Job Summary: The position holder will be responsible for delivering professional high quality and efficient PMTCT Services to contribute to epidemic control across the supported facilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Screening and pre-test counseling.
• Documentation in HMIS, HCT register.
• Provide counseling post-test counseling to all clients who test positive. Link them to the counselor to ensure they start on ART.
• Ensure complete documentation in all HMIS tools i.e. ANC, MAT, PNC, ART register, EID register, appointment book, EID care cards, dispatch book, IAC forms, and tracking tools.
• Ensure that the dispatch book is well updated and results are returned to the facility.
• Ensure that all mothers are bled for VL according to the testing algorithm.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The ideal applicant must hold a certificate in Nursing/Midwifery
• Double trained is an added advantage
• At least three years of experience in Midwifery/Nursing
• Knowledge of PMTCT, HIV/AIDS care issues (General Nursing Care)
• Must be registered with the relevant professional body/council.
