Job Summary: The Lifting Specialist will assist the Lifting Expert, in particular by ensuring the respect of rules in daily lifting Operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify competence of lifting personnel
- Participate in the JRAs for critical lifting operations
- Perform, or makes perform by a competent person, TBTs prior to the beginning of each working shift or when critical lifts are being carried out.
- Develop and keep up to date specific site lifting procedures.
- Advise the Project Owner upon mitigation measures to be put in place for reducing lifting operation risk.
- Assist the lifting expert during assessment of personnel competence to carry out lifting Operations.
- Coaches and mentors onsite personnel involved in lifting operations.
- Carryout post job de-briefs if any learning points.
- Do periodic audits and reviews of non-critical and critical lifting plans.
- Organize periodic internal audits for project equipment in collaboration with Maintenance and Inspection team
- Be the focal point of authority for the safety and technical aspects of the lifting operations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum three years of similar working experience
- Proficient in English Language and office software
- Be familiar with construction standards.
- Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred.
- The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors.
- Strong communication skills, fluent spoken and written English, and Chinese competency will be a plus.
