Job Title: Procurement and Logistics Officer (15 Job Vacancies)

Organisation: National Housing and Construction Company Limited (NHCC)

Duty Station:  Kampala, Uganda

 

About US:

National Housing and Construction Company Limited (NHCC) was founded in 1964 and is a Ugandan construction and real estate management company, partly owned by the Uganda Government. The Company’s mandate is to increase the housing stock in the country, rehabilitate the housing industry and encourage Ugandans to own homes in an organized environment.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing plans for the purchase of materials, tools, equipment, services, and supplies for the Projects.
  • Following and enforcing the PPDA/NHCC procurement policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
  • Managing Project inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
  • Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
  • Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports
  • Coordinate Stores Management processes and control including operationalization of systems that ensures efficient management and monitoring of an up-to-date inventory acquisition




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or closely related filed from a recognisee University of Institution
  • At least Five (5) years’ experience as a Procurement & Logistics officer or similar position
  • Possession of CIPS qualification shall be an added advantage
  • Possession of specific experience in procurement and supplies for infrastructure Construction projects shall be an added advantage
