Job Summary: We are currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated person with integrity to join us as a Transport Officer
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Vehicle movement analysis and control. Compiling mileage on a trip-to-trip basis. Monitoring fuel consumption daily & preparation of monthly report of vehicle usage / trips made and total mileage achieved.
- Ensure Maintenance & servicing of the whole fleet (including trucks & cars) is done and negotiating with service providers for better rates on spares & services rendered.
- Maintaining weekly & monthly log sheet on trips made by both cars & trucks.
- Maintaining the master file of repairs done on trucks and cars.
- Maintaining a proper record of tools & vehicle accessories in both trucks & cars monthly.
- Preparation of all required insurance documents in the event of occurrence of any accident & submitting the same to the insurance officer.
- Follow-up on payments to be done to service providers.
- Regulating & monitoring drivers’ overtime & restrict it to the bare minimum.
- Ensure vehicle assessment before & after repair.
- Maintain a proper record of all vehicle’s repair / maintenance history card as well as ERP entries
- Monitoring the GPS of all vehicles in the fleet
- Prepare and share a report on vehicle utilization by different departments.
- Monitor issuance of fuel & accordingly control consumption.
- Suggest replacement plan for old vehicles as and when need arises.
- Allocate work to drivers and monitor staff performance.
- Maintaining proper hygiene & cleanliness of the entire fleet.
- Ensure that drivers comply to the road traffic rules
- And any other job tasks assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Diploma in Logistics and Fleet management
- Three years of experience in a relevant field, valid driving permit
