Job Summary: Watoto is seeking to recruit a Maintenance Officer to ensure that Watoto facilities are well maintained to provide users with an excellent, safe, attractive, and comfortable environment in accordance with Watoto Ministries quality requirements and standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates Maintenance and Repairs of All Watoto Property
- To conduct inspections of all Watoto Ministries properties to identify maintenance needs and address them in a timely manner.
- To manage emergency and regular repairs of all electrical, mechanical, structural building interiors and exteriors.
- To ensure maintenance of fire protection systems and the campus/homes compounds which includes; tree planting, trimming and gardening.
- To coordinate maintenance and repair of roads, drainage, septic, underground water storage tanks, roof and gutter leakages
Maintain The General Administration of The Maintenance Program
- To support in the preparation and implementation of maintenance and improvement plans.
- To establish preventive maintenance schedules and assist in the management and supervision of projects.
- To maintain and regularly update inventories and records of all projects.
- To inspect any major break down of equipment and update the Maintenance supervisor.
- To prepare and submit maintenance activities and weekly and monthly technical reports.
Supervise Contractors and Volunteers in Order To Ensure A Positive And Healthy Work Environment
- To promotes workplace health and safety based on established guidelines.
- To supervise contractors and volunteers to ensure that their performance is up to the set standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the role should hold at least a Certificate in Maintenance (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing) or any other relevant qualification.
- A Diploma is an added advantage
- At least two to four years’ working experience in general maintenance.
- Excellent technical analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- High standard of integrity and possess professional conduct
