About US:
The Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) was established under the Uganda Broadcasting Corporation Act of 2005 to provide for a successor corporate body to Radio Uganda and Uganda Television. It is mandated to provide national radio and television services. It is a limited liability company wholly owned by the Government of Uganda.
Job Summary: Identification of the 80/ 20- client base, maintaining existing customers and getting new ones, ensuring customer satisfaction as well as monitoring the quality and safety of UBC.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring customer satisfaction in terms of product quality and timely delivery.
- Exploring all business opportunities so as to improve on the revenue base through interaction with the customers and the public.
- Re- positioning of UBC in the broadcasting sector by boosting the image of the Corporation and operationalizing the phrase “INSPIRING UGANDA.”
- Translating different products into revenue for the Corporation. Sale of programs, news, talk shows, documentaries, live broadcasts and commercials.
- Compiling marketing research priorities, or review, disseminate research reports and findings in accordance with the monitoring and research policy.
- Carrying out promotions and research on product development through a tested system or structure.
- Meeting financial targets set by management and prepare weekly and monthly sales statistics.
- Managing, supervising and developing departmental staff to achieve expected performance levels.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold Business related Degree. (Marketing option)
- At least one years’ experience gained from a busy marketing environment.
- Good Interpersonal skills
