Job Title: Marketing Officer (Fresher Job Opportunities)

Reports to: Business Development Manager
About US:
Mandated by the Uganda Cancer Institute Act of 2016, the Uganda Cancer Institute is an autonomous body, with the mandate to, among others, undertake and coordinate the management of cancer and cancer-related diseases in Uganda. It is critical to the evolution of a National Centre of Excellence, providing specialized treatment and care for all types of cancer using all the available subspecialty expertise possible, as well as engineering oncology-centered research and training.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing plans for each service, identifying key audiences, and utilizing all channels to promote the UCI private services.
- Identify and coordinate market research (including data-mining) to develop the marketing functions and mailing lists in line with current and future services.
- Identify new methods and channels for promoting UCI private services, including advertising, always seeking cost effective options.
- Work with the UCI IT team to ensure that UCI website and e-newsletters are up-to-date, engaging and effective.
- Work with the PRO and external Graphic Designers to create fresh, tailored and engaging collateral to effectively market UCI private services, including press coverage.
- Provide regular reports summarizing the outcomes of marketing activities
- Undertake any other duty as may be assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution
- Must be Computer Literate
- Planning, organizing and coordinating
- Information Communication Technology
- Report writing; Effective Communication
- Ethics and Integrity; Concern for quality standard
- Public relations and customer care
- Team work
- Results oriented and Time Management.
