Job Title:   Civil QA/QC Engineer

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand contract requirements and Oil and Gas quality management practices.
  • Familiarize the QA/QC management team with recognized Oil and Gas quality requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain the Project Quality Plan, Project Quality Control Plans (or ITPs) and other quality procedures.
  • Advise the QA/QC Manager on key QA/QC issues.
  • Review key project deliverables to confirm compliance with quality requirements.
  • Participate in subcontracting and procurement cycles to ensure specified quality requirements are met.
  • Review applicable subcontractors/suppliers quality documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain the six weeks look ahead inspection/surveillance program.
  • Prepare the weekly and monthly quality management reports.
  • Guide the management of project quality documentation.
  • Coordinate internal and external QA audits.
  • Assist the QA/AC manager in identifying and processing non-conformances and Lesson Learned.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Graduate with bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and training in the ISO-9000 Series international standards, or equivalent.
  • Able to exercise judgement against the criteria of the standards. Have a university degree or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years of direct experience in quality assurance system activities of which five (5) years must be in managing quality systems relating to EPC oil & gas projects.
  • Work experience in African countries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Adaptable to cross-cultural work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good health and capable of working in a remote project area.
