In all of this, Watoto remains a local church, committed to celebrating Christ and caring for community.

 

Job Summary:  The Administrator will coordinate day today’s operation of Baby Watoto to enable a safe and loving home for the rescued babies.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To participate in the preparation of the annual budget and work plans for Baby Watoto, upload the approved budget on the system and review budget reports.
  • To ensure that the right procedures and policies are followed in admitting babies into Watoto homes.
  • To coordinates with the security and maintenance team to support in ensuring the safety of the children at the baby’s home.
  • To engage and maintain a good relationship with service providers and governmental entities that are associated with the care and treatment of children.
  • To support in the stock take and record management of all the supplies at Baby Watoto Suubi.
  • To support social workers with resettlements of babies, facility transfers and other related activities with babies’ movement.
  • To liaise with finance and procurement teams to ensure standardised purchase of supplies, office equipment and timely payments of service providers.
  • To support in the coordination of HR processes like recruitment and exit for the bay staff members.
  • To provide guidance and clarity to baby Watoto staff members on HR related issues in accordance to the policies.
  • To coordinate and organize for meetings, trainings and coordinate all travel logistic for the baby Watoto staff members. Ensure that
  • To manage and supervise the performance of the care takers and supervise their annual leave calendar.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant should hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Business related courses, Human Resource, Development studies, Education, or Social Sciences.
  • At least four years’ working experience in a similar role in a large organisation.
  • Experience working with vulnerable children, families, and communities.
  • Possess knowledge of relevant childcare legislation and regulations of Uganda
  • Demonstrated experience in capacity building and mentoring of staff
  • Good computer skills such as: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
