Job Title: Land Surveyor (20 Job Opportunities)

About US:

National Housing and Construction Company Limited (NHCC) was founded in 1964 and is a Ugandan construction and real estate management company, partly owned by the Uganda Government. The Company’s mandate is to increase the housing stock in the country, rehabilitate the housing industry and encourage Ugandans to own homes in an organized environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and verify survey data, setting out and measurement of constructed works. Specifically;

• Establish the survey controls set for the design, the co-ordinates and levels assigned to set reference points.
• Set out works out of intermediate bench Marks
• Identify and record existing ground levels along set grids.
• Set out all earthworks.
• Set out other works such as boundaries, pavement works, drainage works, bridges, building foundations etc.
• Keep a record of levels of completed works to facilitate Measurement

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying from a recognised University/Institution.
• Experienced in the use of different automated survey equipment, Total Stations, Data loggers and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) Control.
• At least Six (6) years of specific experience in road and Bridge Construction works of which two (2) years as a Senior Land surveyor on a road construction project (Bitumen Standard)
• Registered with the relevant professional body as a Must
