Job Summary: The Welding Inspector is to inspect and ensure that proper welding procedures are qualified and utilized, the welders are qualified, sound welds are produced, and proper documentation is maintained.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administration of welding control system
- Monitor welding activities, inspection and test in accordance with the approved Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plan, Procedures, and etc.
- Promote quality awareness
- Assist review of project Quality Plan, ITP and all pertained QA/QC documentation prior to any fabrication/construction activity
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with minimum 3 years similar working experience.
- AWS CWI and ASNT Level II or above at least in RT, UT, MT; or equivalent
- Proficient in English, Office Software
- Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred.
- The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors.
- Strong communication skills, fluent spoken and written English, and Chinese competency will be a plus.
