Uganda Airlines is the flag carrier of Uganda. The company is a revival of the older Uganda Airlines which operated from 1977 until 2001. It began flying in August 2019.
Job Summary: The Pricing & Inventory Executive will support the pricing and revenue management unit of Uganda Airlines. Further developing instruments and assisting in introducing innovations and change.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily pricing and yield management. Develop pricing strategy and price points for a subset of Uganda Airlines markets, including offline and code-share routes.
- Analyze pricing trends and revenue performance for better planning with Revenue Management and Pricing Implementation team. Monitor other Airlines’ fares and rule actions to implement an appropriate response to maintain a competitive position in the marketplace.
- Stay abreast of key events and other passenger demand drivers in assigned markets by Interacting frequently with multiple constituents to actively achieve commercial goals: Sales, Marketing, E-Commerce, Reservations, and Alliances.
- Problem-solving. Responsible for delivering budgeted revenue targets for the countries/bases under his/her management.
- Regularly updating forecasts, identifying both revenue risks and opportunities, and coordinating the commercial department to address these risks/opportunities.
- Willingness to up-skill as required by the tasks to be performed.
- Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Uganda Airlines Pricing & Inventory Executive job must hold a Bachelors’ degree in finance, commerce, accounting, mathematics, business, or related field.
- Part professional qualifications in CPA, ACCA will be an added advantage.
- Five years of experience working (revenue management, record keeping, and/or pricing) in the air travel and hospitality-related industry with a reputable organization.
- IATA training in air ticketing and reservation is a MUST
- Practical experience in using computerized financial accounting and enterprise resource packages
