Job Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operations for Pangea in Uganda. He/She supports the Country Director in overseeing tasks related to the operations of the organization, programs, and staff.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities: 2.0
- Handling of Human Resources (HR) duties including, but not limited to, recruitment, hiring, and development of staff contracts.
- Procurement of resources related for all programs, including printing and fulfilment for Pangea Publishing.
- Under the supervision of the Country Director, takes a lead supportive role in the disbursement of the organization’s budget.
- Inventory management for all Pangea Publishing Uganda organizational assets.
Secondary Responsibilities 1.0
- Oversees grounds upkeep and manages guard(s).
- Oversees and maintains the upkeep of each office site.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in the following fields: HR, Business, Procurement, Management or related fields – Required
- Two to five years of experience in a management role – Required
- Superior oral and written communication skills in English – Required
- Computer fluency and understanding Google Suite – Preferred
