Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Cards department is managed within standards set under Card controls and aligned to workflow and enforce adherence to set standards.
  • Link for communication between the customer and Vivo Energy Uganda(VEU)
  • Attend to all matters escalated in relation to Card services from the Cards Administrator and elsewhere in the business.
  • Card Manager ensures monthly updates to central team and projects initiated by the central team.
  • Provide cross-functional interface between CoBs (Marketing/Retail/Finance)
  • Provide support to CoB initiatives, benchmarking and scenario building expertise in support to decision making.
  • Offer support to retailers in dealing with commercial clients
  • Cards manager to confirm and check that retailer reports are processed and all queries on concerns from retailers are addressed either internally or externally.
  • Card Manager will recruit customers and drive sales initiatives focusing on achieving set targets by setting a robust and realistic SPANCOP(Suspect, Prospect, Approach, Negotiations, Close, & Order)
  • Focus on relationship building with customers and create platforms as part of sales initiative
  • Card Manager to confirm monthly submissions and to prepare VEU for expected audits and reporting
  • Cards manager to stay updated on all changes within legislation of payment systems
  • Ensure that invoices for post paid card customers are delivered electronically timely each month.
  • Maintain a record of KYC(Know Your Customer) documents for all Card Customers.
  • Communicate to all stakeholders on issues and activities so as to ensure their active and timely support and participation in business activities
  • Make sure that the Card Centre is managed within standards set under Card controls and aligned to workflow
  • Confirm and sign off all monthly reconciliations between SAP/JDE and Petroplus
  • Monitor and support Cards Field Based Account Manager(FBAMS) with management of accounts
  • Mentoring and guiding cards team
  • Monitor compliance of PSL team to agreed standards and Service Level Agreement(SLA)
  • Ensure that all service requests completed by PSL are validated for accuracy and completeness.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Sales & Marketing or related field
  • At least five years’ experience in Card Administration, two of which should be at managerial level
  • Detailed oriented and ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Extensive experience working with team members of various backgrounds.
  • Must possess a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Outstanding communication and results driven.
