This position is primarily ensuring that all claims arising from theft, accident, vandalism, fire, malicious damage, and Third Party as stated in the comprehensive insurance cover are fully dealt with up to and including settlement. The Insurance Claims Officer must update and support clients and staff in executing an effective claim process that will be successfully settled and reduce the losses brought by the incidents reported.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engaging clients to analyse the cases reported and advise the client accordingly on the requirements and support them to initiate claim process.
  • Informing Insurance broker on the claim via email.
  • Filling of claim documents and also coordinating with respective Branches to ensure client is assisted in accurately filling claim forms and complete compilation of supporting documents as per the approved checklist and submit the same via email and courier to Insurance Department on time.
  • Closely follow-up on progress of claims on process for the respective Branches to ensure that they have been fully settled.
  • Follow-up with the respective garages to ensure that accident motorbikes authorised for repairs have been repaired, reassessment done, and the said asset released back to the client.
  • Facilitate repairs process of motorbikes accident cases that do not qualify for insurance to ensure that they are repaired and released back to operation.
  • Ensure close follow-up with Recovery Department for all cases referred for special cases and ensure that they are fully attended to and asset brought to the office for claim process.
  • Accurately updating the status of claim on google sheet at all times and legal status in MIFOS for reported and settled cases.
  • Updating clients on the status of their claims to ensure that they are fully updated on every step and any feedback regarding their claims.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
