About ERA:
The Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) is a statutory body established in accordance with the Electricity Act, 1999 (Chapter 145, Laws of Uganda). The Act empowers ERA to regulate the Generation, Transmission, Sale, Export, Import and Distribution of electrical energy in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Transport Facilitator will drive and carry out simple vehicle maintenance, and perform assigned clerical tasks in line with the departmental procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To transport Staff and Stakeholders to and from areas of operation in line with ERA laid down procedure
- Deliver items and goods including mail and documents to the Authority Stakeholders in line with the administrative procedures
- Implement vehicle maintenance schedules in line with the specific vehicle manufacturers requirements
- Prepare immediate accident and incident reports in line with the departmental guidelines.
- Maintain the logging, fueling and computation of monthly vehicle fuel consumption.
- Performs daily vehicle inspections and fill out daily inspection forms
- Maintain vehicles in working condition in line with laid down procedures.
- Carry out assigned clerical duties including office messenger, photocopying documents, and filing
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE).
- Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics
- Must have a valid driving permit.
- Five (05) years relevant working experience in a reputable organization.
- Should be below 40 Years of age.
