Job Title:    Quality Auditor (2 Fresher Job Opportunities)

About US:

Uganda Airlines is the flag carrier of Uganda. The company is a revival of the older Uganda Airlines which operated from 1977 until 2001. It began flying in August 2019.

Job Summary:  As a Quality Auditor, you shall be responsible for executing, overseeing, and monitoring Uganda Airlines’ Quality Assurance system and regulatory requirements in all operational areas as per the Uganda Airlines Quality Assurance Program and documented audit schedule.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring sound implementation of Corporate Quality systems in compliance with regulatory and company policy.
• Raise awareness of how employees can contribute to Uganda Airline’s continued improvement system.
• Understand their responsibility for the quality of their own work.
• Prepare audit checklists, work plans and timetables.
• Conduct periodic internal and external audits as per the approved audit schedule to ensure compliance with company policy/procedures and industry/regulatory requirements.
• To plan, implement and prepare audit reports and corrective action reports for submission to the Quality Manager.
• Ensure preventive action requests are handled by the required due dates.
• Provide feedback to the Quality Manager on results and issues that directly and indirectly affect the Quality System.
• To constantly review and analyze the organization’s procedures with the aim of continuous improvement.
• Constant oversight and monitoring of compliance of company standards and regulatory requirements
• Follow up on outstanding audits findings and make sure they are resolved.
• Conduct defect analysis.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant for the Uganda Airlines Quality Auditor job must hold a Degree/Diploma in science or arts with training in Aviation operational or maintenance functions
• Two years of experience in relevant operational and/or maintenance experience
• Has received relevant auditor training from a recognized Training organization
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders in the aviation industry.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must possess a can-do attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to detect deficiencies and address the same correctly and in time.
• Displayed evidence of computer literacy
• Training in accident investigation and airworthiness matters is added advantage
• Analytical thinking
• Good Interpersonal skills accompanied by strong communication and presentation skills.
• The candidate must be conversant with the preparation of company policy and standards, operating systems, and procedures
• Conversant with Uganda Civil Aviation Regulations and other state regulatory requirements
• Familiar with Airline operational Quality systems, processes, and procedures
• Trained in Audit techniques and procedures
• Trained and familiar with their respective and assigned operational areas
