Job Summary: The Partnership Assistant will support the work of the Partnership Intervention Managers (PIMs) who identify and manage FtF IAM agribusiness, association and government partners.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support development of partnership with market actors, including but not limited to processors, traders, financial services, and business development services (BDS) providers, associations, and government institutions by supporting the competition, selection and negotiation processes.
- Assist the PIMs with development of scopes of work, budget analysis, reviewing backup documentation and administrative tasks.
- Coordinate across teams to develop monitoring and evaluation targets and submit data electronically through online system.
- Support the management of strong relationships under ongoing partnership by coordinating communications, participating in field visits, supporting the procurement of goods and services needed by FtF IAM partners, and coordinating events.
- Monitor the implementation and execution technical assistance and grants provided by FtF IAM, and work with the FtF IAM M&E team to collect, review and analyze data.
- Contribute to regular reporting on activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Partnership Intervention Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field of study, such as rural and agricultural development, agricultural economics, agribusiness and/or business development, business administration OR a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study with at least two years of development experience relevant to the SOW.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), and analytical skills.
- Strong Microsoft skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint; demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly and attention to detail.
- Experience in the private sector or building/managing investments or relationships with private sector partners preferred.
- Experience in a business consulting environment is an advantage
- Experience working with international donor agencies; experience with USAID management and administrative requirements preferred.
