Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee Telecoms infrastructure (services availability, infrastructure administration, system back-up, and security notifications) for the affiliate infrastructure; with constant liaison with the SERF team and TGITS
- Must be available in case of IS telecoms failure or emergency in line with the IST On Duty procedure; and has to maintain his knowledge in Telecoms Systems.
- To be in contact with vendors, suppliers or other industry peers for technical topics ensuring the overall consistency of the affiliate telecoms domain within the Company policy and strategy.
- Ensures that resources are deployed in the manner that satisfies user requirements with given budgetary constraints.
- Promote a positive and professional image of the IT department and the Company; and guarantee the privacy, confidentiality and protection of all Company and affiliate data.
- Contribute to the definition, stimulation, and implementation of the strategy of the digital campaign.
- Responsible for the IP addressing plans for all Telecoms equipment.
- Troubleshooting Telecom systems (Voice & Data).
- Follow up of affiliate and project telecoms licenses.
- Define and write procedures related to the Telecom domain.
- Manage configuration on routers/ switches.
- Specify, scope, and cost new infrastructure & data communication projects.
- Participate in the installation, start up, exploitation & maintenance of telecom systems.
- Responsible for onsite tests, commissioning of telecommunications interventions & coordinates technical intervention.
- Establish service improvement proposals related to telecommunications.
- Ensure management systems are operational that can measure system performance of all telecommunications systems in place to ensure that agreed service levels can be maintained.
- Specify appropriate security measures to protect the integrity of the telecommunications infrastructure and complete all tasks according to security standards.
- Guarantee on the availability, operability and reliability of the Information Systems and their conformity to rules and specifications while contributing to meeting objectives by conducting required audits.
- Contribute to maintaining technical knowledge in the administration and operation of IS infrastructures.
- Ensure HSE and IS Security requirements are considered when designing and implementing applications.
- Ensure efficient infrastructure support to Business and end-users.
- Contribute to the definition of business and functional requirements while developing the affiliate infrastructure network.
- Ensure adequate reporting with regards to applications deployment progress and KPIs.
- Cost effective telecommunications and data communications solutions to meet business requirements.
- Monitoring & Maintenance of telecommunications equipment.
- Provide expert & specialist advice relating to Telecommunications Engineering
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering
- Eight years of experience in the IS domain with previous experience in Business Applications Engineering & Support in an Oil and Gas Environment.
- At least three years of experience in a Telecom Company preferably and with a part exercised in the field.
- Good Knowledge in Transmissions, Radio, Internet 3G, WiFi network.
- Knowledge in Routing/Switch and TOIP and Project Management Skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills, autonomy, attention to detail, reactiveness, multitasking ability, operating in a multinational environment and team spirit.
- Good leadership, initiation, and communication skills amongst internals & externals stakeholders.
- Strong cohesion with the network and telecommunication team for application access.
