Job Title: Finance Officer- Tourism Project

About US:

Uganda Development Bank Ltd (UDBL) is the country’s only Development Finance Institution (DFI) established in 1972. The Bank has recently re-positioned itself as a partner to the Government of Uganda in delivering the theme of its National Development Plan.

 

Job Summary: The jobholder shall ensure smooth finance operations whilst also

ensuring the financial management, reporting, compliance in line with agreed/acceptable standards of the Grant

Accountability Statement

The Finance Officer is responsible for administering smooth finance operations, including initiating and verifying payments, maintaining the financial records and information for management use, in accordance with all applicable Grant Policies, Procedures and

practices of the Bank.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded in accordance with the relevant grant contract
  • Work with the project staff to prepare budgets for funding proposal submitted by the Tourism unit.
  • Support project management in communicating any relevant financial matters to the EU and the Bank, including exchange rate variations where necessary.
  • Carry out other tasks relating to matters of grant finance as required.
  • Prepare required analysis schedules for annual expenditure verifications in accordance with budget.
  • Ensure electronic and hard copies of supporting documentation are complete and complaint with grant requirements.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports in accordance with grant requirements.
  • Under the supervision of the Manage Finance co-ordinate all grant audits.
  • Work with the project team to align budget notes with existing grant terms and conditions.
