With extensive network in Uganda, we are now offering an opportunity for General Insurance Sales Agents to be based at our Crown House Agency office on Kampala Road.
Job Summary: Reporting to the Agency Manager, the Insurance Agent will be tasked with acquiring new business, retention, and customer care.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop a pool of prospects as a long term source of clients.
- Identify opportunities and provide market intelligence on general insurance products.
- Develop proposals and quotations as per the underwriting guidelines.
- Ensure continued service to the clients by providing requisite information and documentation.
- Ensure that budget premium is attained on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Ensure premium collection and therefore minimize debt.
- Achieve maximum sales profitability by ensuring close of sales.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business or related course.
- A minimum of COP Accreditation is an added advantage
- At least two years of experience in Sales and Marketing
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self-starter with personal management skills
- Sales experience and Management ability
- IT proficiency
- Good assessment and analytical skills
- Ability to interact at all levels
- Report writing and presentation skills
