About US:
National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) is an organization established under the Act of Parliament of 2001.
Job Summary: The overall objective of the assignment is to support NAADS Secretariat in data entry operations onto the Web based Database Management System to increase the degree to which data is fit for purposes of its intended use in different dimensions that include relevance, accuracy, timeliness, accessibility, and coherence. This support will include data entry on all programme related databases to feed into the online database management information system and report compilation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter NAADS/OWC program data onto the web-based Database Management System for FYm2017/18, FY 2018/19 and FY 2019/20, FY 2020/21 and FY 2021/22.
- Data entry that will involve various data sets from all the District Local Governments; District performance indicators, information on the administrative units, enterprises, releases, staff and the farmer beneficiaries under operation wealth creation.
- Will make sure that there is appropriate accuracy, confidentiality and secrecy of data entered into the databases by rechecking Data after entry and make sure that data is entered correctly on daily basis.
- Periodically assist the PM&E department in general data management through compilation of medium-term demands, allocation of inputs and generation and dissemination of advice slips.
- Perform other duties as advised by the supervisor.
Key Deliverables
- Updated databases on the Web based Database Management System of NAADS and ability to retrieve reports as and when required by authorities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a university degree in either Computer science, Information Technology, Statistics, Economics, Economics & Statistics, Business computing.
- Evidence of internship and experience in big data entry and management in a reputable organization preferably using web-based database systems. Desired
