About US:

Habitat for Humanity Uganda (HFHU) is affiliated to Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) headquartered in Atlanta – Georgia (U.S.A); and is an ecumenical Christian ministry that is dedicated to eliminating poverty housing. HFHU functionally reports to HFHI’s Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Area Office in Pretoria – South Africa. Over the last 10 years, Habitat for Humanity Uganda has rehabilitated and constructed over 24,000 houses, transforming over 144,000 lives across the country. Our country program has 5 field offices located in Kumi, Mayuge, Lugazi, Luweero, and Fort portal.

Job Summary:  We are recruiting two volunteers to be part of the process of rejuvenating our volunteer initiatives in the country. The Volunteers will provide support to the organization in the implementation of various activities including community-based activities, finance-related activities, resource mobilization, and fundraising activities, records and archive management, and maintenance of a clean, healthy, and attractive work environment at HFHU.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate for the Habitat for Humanity Uganda (HFHU) Volunteer job opportunity should preferably be a fresh University graduate and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Business Administration, Communications and Public Relations, Marketing and Business Studies, Urban Development and Housing and or any other related field.
