Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that the physical assets in the ERP system is supported by the physical existence of the assets.
- Review, align and document the processes for all movement of fixed assets (i.e., Receipt of Assets, Movement of Fixed Assets, Disposal, etc.)
- Responsible for all disposal process end to end including ERP system asset disposal and Sundry Invoicing for Disposal
- Perform monthly FA to GL Fixed asset reconciliation, with Finance Manager/Financial Controller review and sign-off
- Perform a monthly transactions reconciliation of the depreciation charges to ensure the depreciation is correct
- Liaise with the Capex Budget Holders and the Engineers as the case may be for correct recording and reporting of Actual amount spent and Open Purchase Orders.
- Review and clean all the Fixed Asset Integrities
- Ensure that the Internal Controls Framework on Fixed Assets and Bank Reconciliations is reviewed and validated every quarter with sign-off of FC
- Perform the Bank Reconciliation on a daily and weekly basis
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelors in commerce, statistics, Business Administration and or any other Accounting professional qualifications (ACCA or CPA)
- Three years of experience in managing fixed assets
- High degree of numeracy and have the ability to operate in an evolving environment
- Solid IT skills including knowledge of an ERP system and the Microsoft Office suite. Good practical experience of Excel is an advantage.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels in the organization.
- A capacity to work hard, with high commitment and a “self-starter” approach.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem -solving skills with high attention to detail.
