Job Summary: Reporting to the Director, the procurement and logistics associate will work with other business unit associates and will be responsible for providing advisory support on aspects related to procurement services including requisitions and sourcing, bidding and tendering processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a procurement strategy to ensure timely, accurate and cost effective delivery of goods/services to internal and external partners and clients.
- Work with the business development team and other associates to draft bid proposals and ensure maximum compliance of the tendering terms of reference.
- Establish and maintain positive relationship with vendors, clients, statutory authorities and other stakeholders for future business.
- Liaise with business unit focal point to ensure that services match with the client requirements.
- Develop SOP’s and maintain the inventory of all incoming and outgoing delivery details.
- Develop procurement related budgets, proposals and advise management on costing and related financial implications
- Create a digital database logistics system and ensure proper entry of all relevant details
- Collaborate with other business Unit associates to fulfill smooth logistics function in order to comply with clients’ project timelines.
- Track service delivery progress and address all client’s inquiries
- Technically advise internal business associates and clients on requisitions, sourcing processes to ensure projects are timely closed.
- Prepare monthly reports on procurement related matters
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree Procurement and Logistics, Business Administration or related field
- Possession professional certification for example CIPS is an added advantage but not a must.
- Experience in Financial Planning, Budgeting for Logistics and Reporting
- Good understanding of excel and other Microsoft office packages
- Project management skills especially in a consulting environment is a plus.
