Job Summary: Enabel in Uganda in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and with funding from Belgium is seeking to recruit 1 (ONE) Procurement and for the Enabel- Health Projects to be based in Kampala. This recruitment will also constitute a pool selection for the same position
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- You put in place procurement procedures and be responsible for good price applications in order to have equipment and services that are adapted to the needs of the Project safely available.
- You verify/ survey materials with the help of an office inventory in order for equipment including communication systems function correctly and to guarantee a suitable working environment.
- You submit requests to customs, etc… for the claiming of materials and equipment in order for the projects to be able to dispose for the goods as soon as possible and to avoid having to pay unnecessary fines.
- You support the Project in all logistical arrangements in order to ensure good execution of various tasks and procedures.
- You lead the team of which one is hierarchical supervisor in order to have qualified and motivated staff.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Transport and Logistics Management, Business Administration (with a bias in Procurement);
- Additional advancement in Procurement qualifications will be of an added advantage.
- A minimum of five years proven, relevant experience in Procurement and Logistics Management in a reputable organisation.
- Experience in managing purchases and suppliers in a busy Organisational setting;
- Experience in Fuel and vehicle management as well as working with vehicle tracking systems;
- Knowledge of public procurement procedures and stock management;
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications of procurement documents;
- Good experience and knowledge of transit/customs clearance is an asset;
- Experience and knowledge in Leadership and People Management;
- Ability to respect others and are able to build relations on the basis of credibility and expertise;
- Ability to show engagement, sense of responsibility and integrity.
- Good skilled at solving problems and you adopt a solution- and results-oriented approach;
