About US:
The National Animal Genetics Resources Centre and Data Bank, (NAGRC&DB) is a body corporate under the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries whose mandate is to take a leading role in establishing a comprehensive National Animal Breeding Programme in Uganda.
Job Summary: To provide administrative support to the Board of Directors of the agency
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and organize Board meetings
- Manage Board records in accordance with established security and records management procedures
- Draw up and coordinate Board appointments, field activities, visitations, engagements and programmes in conjunction with relevant offices and officers
- Coordinate inland travel arrangements for Board members in the region
- Coordinate bookings for board meetings, workshops, conferences
- Coordinate Board foreign travels i.e. booking air tickets, hotels reservations, visa processing, e.t.c
- Prepare and raise requisitions and follow up on payments and supplies for Board
- Provide general logistical support for the Board
- Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from a reputable University
- At least two (02) years in Office Administration and Management gained from Government or a reputable organization/institution
- Demonstrable experience of handling Board Affairs is necessary
