Reports to: Team Lead – Manufacturing (Granulation, Compression & Coating)

Cipla Quality Chemical Industries Limited (CiplaQCIL) is East Africa’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturer and one of the largest in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). The Company manufactures antiretrovirals, artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTS) and, Hepatitis medicines, to treat HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and Hepatitis respectively.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that appropriate validations and calibrations of equipment are effected and records taken
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation including SOPs, change control systems and procedures
- Supervising of production processes, planning and scheduling of processes of production for the different lines
- Execution of production plans as provided per the timelines
- Maintaining inventory of required tools, spares and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment to ensure down time is minimized
- Ensuring compliance to cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Process)
- Ensuring that procedures are followed as stipulated in the BMR during sifting and granulation activities
- Monitoring OEE, Yield, cycle time, performance, downtime and breakdowns
- Capturing and analyzing data from machine logs
- Performing DILO studies
- Carrying out investigations, interventions and track cost-saving initiatives
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Science Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Pharmacy
- A minimum of three (03) years demonstrable experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setup
- Advanced computer knowledge (Ms. Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP), with excellent analytical skills
