Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

 

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Vendor Accountant to work in Kampala.

 

Job Summary:  Accounting with focus on Accounts Payable; Key function in Procurement to pay process

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

Primary responsibilities:

  • Receive invoices from vendors, control that they meet the requirements (FI & MM)
  • Scan vendors’ invoices and process through approval workflow
  • Post invoices and expense claims
  • Clear cash in advance
  • Liaise with other departments, Decentralized Buyers, Cost controllers and Contract & Procurement department for invoice approval, purchase orders & call offs creation/release, goods/service receipts; sort out issues
  • Liaise and respond to vendors and internal inquiries
  • Follow up with TTL any Total Energies SE disputes
  • Reconcile vendor statements (including TTL), identify discrepancies and make corrections where necessary
  • Perform yearly the Vendor database cleaning
  • Assist the Chief Accountant during external audits (statutory and financial, fiscal, shareholders, national authorities)
  • Participate in the Implementation of EACOP’s ERP

Context and environment:

  • Shareholders Agreement completion by year-end 2021
  • Transition from TEAM BV to EACOP Ltd at SHA completion
  • Implementation of a brand-new dedicated ERP for EACOP Ltd (Finance and HR)

Accountabilities:

  • Bookkeeping and production of monthly accounts in time and quality.
  • Timely processing and posting of vendor invoices & expense claims for payment
  • Follow up of vendors’ accounts

 





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor in Accounting – ACCA Level 2
  • Minimum 5-year experience in Accounting, ideally in Oil & Gas environment
  • Familiar with SAP or similar ERP, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and ERP systems.
  • Analytical mind, focus on processes, attention for details.
  • Adequate interpersonal and communication skills; team spirit; ability to cope with pressure and deadlines.
  • Excellent level in English (spoken & written)
