Job Summary: The Unit Manager Packaging leads and supports the team so that manufacturing, quality, and maintenance targets are achieved in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draw up and communicate a Business plan in line with the Company strategic objectives
- Drive WCM initiatives on the Production Lines
- Manage and support Team leaders and the teams to achieve production, maintenance, and quality targets in a cost-effective manner
- Formulate and control expense and capital budgets
- Ensure the performance management process is duly adhered to and staff supported and developed to meet performance targets
- Manage, implement and actively support change interventions and projects
- Drive the health and safety agenda as per regulatory requirements.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
- FMCG experience in milk processing is an Added advantage
- At least five years production, technical, and leadership/managerial experience in an FMCG environment
- Experience in a food/beverages manufacturing facility, especially Value-Added Dairy
- Must possess the good analytical ability and problem-solving skills,
- Good oral & written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Should possess a good understanding of change management and OD principles.
- Must be able to deliver results against key targets
- Must be able to provide strong leadership and motivation.
