Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop (in consultation with the Retail Manager) and deliver the annual Retail Sales plan and targets (i.e. volumes, margins, costs, market share, BSP, etc)
  • Consistently deliver Customer Commitment / Service programs as required through achieving high standards of operational excellence in site standards.
  • Ensure delivery of a competitive pricing position through application of the fuels pricing strategy.
  • Improve customer satisfaction through enhancement of people’s skills/competencies. Achieve and maintain industry leadership in customer satisfaction as measured through the SEA survey.
  • In conjunction with Operations Support and Territory Managers(TM), participate in the attraction and selection of Retailers.
  • Continuously Coach, support and develop Area Business Managers in Retailer management. Coach the TM’s as they undertake and complete Professional Accreditation development programs.
  • Through the TM team ensure that Retailers have valid retailer agreements. Evaluate the performance of retailers whose agreements are about to expire to support renewal or termination decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with required Retail processes and procedures including VST, WSM, Credit, Fixed Assets, Procurement, HSSE, HR etc
  • Develop and maintain a strong HSSE culture within the Sales Team, and deliver agreed HSSE targets.
  • Liaise with other functions (e.g. network and marketing) and support functions (e.g. finance and HR) for cross-retail objective.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a degree in Sales & Marketing or related field
  • At least seven years’ experience in Sales in an FMCG environment, 3 of which must be in a leadership position
  • Demonstrable competence in implementing standard processes, achieving sales targets and building relationships.
  • Strong team member with excellent communications skills
  • Strong leadership/ management of a team.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
