Job Summary: The Telephony team’s mission is to integrate and maintain SIP and SMPP accounts in the countries where we’re operating. The team is expected to keep the toll-free numbers as available as possible to allow the support team to respond to customers’ calls swiftly. At the same time, ensuring the reliability of our SMPP connections, which also enables customers to receive SMS notifications on time.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dealing with toll-free numbers and SMS outages by performing first checks
- Debugging, interpret and analyse errors
- Escalating if needed to Engineers/Partners based on the error message received
- Dealing with partners to solve issues or get any other information we need
- Removing/Assigning phone numbers to Support Reps in SIP system
- Performing first groundwork before engineers integrate the final service
- Managing corporate fleet SIM requests
- Processing Telco invoices and funding requests
- Writing daily notes about activities
- Working closely with BizDev and Engineers
- Helping to perform our activity
- Owning action plan
- Working on flexible hours, on weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays if required
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a degree in TIC preferably in IT / Telecommunications or equivalent
- At least two years of experience in a comparable position with a basic understanding of network and system
- Fluent in English
- Can work with a team
- Motivated with a focus on self-improvement
- You might be a good fit if you:
- Worked in a Bank / Financial institution / Telcos
- Have incident management skills
- Have basic network and system knowledge
- Have basic understanding of SMS and VOIP/SIP systems will be a plus
- Love solving problems and can take initiatives
