Job Title: Finance Officer

Organisation: Impacc MakaPads

Duty Station:  Kampala, Uganda

 

About US:

Impacc MakaPads is an inclusive business working to make menstrual hygiene products and knowledge more accessible and affordable to young girls and women in low income communities. We provide the MakaPads which is an affordable, locally manufactured sanitary pad made from locally sourced materials that include papyrus and recycled paper to low income communities.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Prepare Memo’s
  • Ensure effective and timely processing of invoices or other payments and ensuring compliance to all set financial regulations.
  • Records financial data into systems, monitors and analyses company data.
  • Executes, checks and consolidates all necessary activities and checks to assure complete and correct allocation of costs, in line with financial regulations
  • Executes the budgeting process and periodically forecasts and supports control, monitors (audit) all financial related activities within the Company.
  • Financial business project control and information
  • Regularly provides financial reports, analysis and advice to provide insight in the overall company financial status in order to safeguard financial performance, profitability and to estimate financial risks and take precautions.
  • Provides financial reports to meet both internal and external donor requirements. Supports the business unit in being compliant to internal- and external procedures and regulations




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Administration, Finance, Commerce or relevant qualification.
  • At least three years’ relevant experience
  • ICT proficient, accounting and Quickbooks
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with accounting and/or financial management software and MS Office applications;
  • Knowledge of Uganda’s financial and tax regulations, especially those pertaining to international non-governmental organisations.
