Job Summary:  Ensure appropriate storage of project documents as per MTI Finance Manual and donor requirements.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure appropriate storage of project documents (both electronically and hard copy) as per MTI Finance Manual and donor requirements.
  • Support in scanning and uploading documents for electronic storage
  • Keep track of document retention and destruction dates
  • Provide technical support to non-finance staff on financial policies, finance forms and procedures
  • Provide support during project audits
  • Assist project accountants to prepare project reports
  • Any other tasks as assigned by supervising staff





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a diploma in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (Accounting) is required; Bachelor’s Degree is an added advantage
  • 2 years of work experience in Finance & Accounting for Diploma holder or 1 year of work experience in Finance & Accounting for Bachelor’s Degree holder
  • Basic knowledge of non-profit accounting
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and computerized accounting software such as Sage, Unit4, etc.
  • Skilled in using ERP system to process financial transactions
  • Skilled in explaining financial procedures to non-finance staff
  • Good command of both written and spoken English, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain detailed records with high accuracy
  • Highly organized with good quantitative ability
  • Ability to prioritize to manage competing tasks
  • Ability to act with integrity and maintain the highest ethical standards
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information
  • Ability to support MTI Calling and adhere to the MTI Code of Conduct
