Partners for Community Transformation (PaCT) is a humanitarian organization that has been in existence for the past 25 years focusing on transforming communities through Education sponsorships, WASH and Health as well as Human Rights interventions. The organisation has its headquarters in Mityana municipality, Ttamu Division with various projects implemented in districts of Mityana, Mubende, Kassanda, Gomba, Kiboga and Kassanda with a vision seeing” A Healthy Community Free from Poverty, Illiteracy and Human Rights Violation”


PaCT in partnership with her various stakeholder is scaling implementation of various land and WASH projects in targeting districts of Mityana, Kassanda and Kiboga, and it’s this reason that we seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions.


Job Summary: The WASH officer will be responsible for the daily implementation of the WASH Projects. S/he will supervise WASH facilities such as water construction sites, latrines, installation of rain water harvest systems and infrastructure improvement of health facilities. S/he will be responsible for primary community entry activities and effective coordination with all local stakeholders. The officer shall conduct the community hygiene promotion training and sensitizing communities on facility sustainability and sanitation and hygiene behavior change.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelors in Development Studies, Environmental Health Management, Public Health and Social Sciences or any other relevant degree.
  • At least three years of practical experience in the planning and execution of WASH Promotion or Public Health and NGO working experience is preferable
  • General understanding of water and sanitation in rural communities and organizing trainings.
  • Monitoring progress activities and understanding of the safeguarding risks relating to work in schools and health facilities.
  • Ability to mobilise Communities, patient, creative, self-driven with a good sense of humour in a result oriented and multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to explain in the local language.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Good knowledge of ICT related software.
