Job Summary: The Store Manager plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the store, drives in-store sales, increase profitability, create store policies and marketing programs that will increase sales and grow the existing customer base for clients. Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved and service is quick and efficient. Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Formulate and propose pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion.
  • Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
  • Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
  • Maintain inventory by implementing purchasing plans and staying in contact with vendors and shippers.
  • Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.
  • Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales.
  • Analyze and interpret market trends to facilitate planning
  • Respond to customer complaints and comments.
  • Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays.
  • Prepare detailed reports on Inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new items.
  • Report on buying trends, customer needs.
  • Propose innovative ideas to increase market share.
  • Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Procurement or any other relevant field.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a managerial role.
