Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Support the Drilling & Wells Contracts Manager in all commercials and contracting matters related to the drilling & wells contracts and their execution: cumulative contractual value of approximately $2 billion.
  • Job holder shall be responsible for commercial management in respect to all contractual, commercial and administrative issues, and implementing and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures in the administration of the contract during all phases of commitment.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate for the TOTAL Drilling & Wells Contract Engineer job placement must hold a Degree in relevant subject (preferably QS, Business, Law or technical) or equivalent experience
  • At least eight years of Well Engineering experience
  • Demonstrable understanding of Well Engineering and related practical contracting issues associated with remote Drilling Operations, Well Engineering services.
  • Good communicator, able to effectively interface with senior management and Contractor representatives at all levels;
  • Proven track record in well engineering and support to contractual negotiation, drafting, delivery of capital well engineering contracts and associated logistics support in an international environment;
  • Proven ability to work to challenging project schedules and prioritise contracting requirements and able to constructively challenge existing preconceptions.
