Job Title:    Project Officers - Land Inventory Protocol (LIPs) Distribution (2 Job Vacancies) Organisation: Partners for Community Transformation (PaCT) Duty Station: Mityana and Kassanda Districts, Uganda Reports to: Project Manager - Land Inventory Protocol (LIPs) Distribution   About US: Partners for Community Transformation (PaCT) is a humanitarian organization that has been in existence for the past 25 years focusing on transforming communities through Education sponsorships, WASH and Health as well as Human Rights interventions. The organisation has its headquarters in Mityana municipality, Ttamu Division with various projects implemented in districts of Mityana, Mubende, Kassanda, Gomba, Kiboga and Kassanda with a vision seeing” A Healthy Community Free from Poverty, Illiteracy and Human Rights Violation”   PaCT in partnership with her various stakeholder is scaling implementation of various land and WASH projects in targeting districts of Mityana, Kassanda and Kiboga, and it's this reason that we seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions.   Job Summary:  The Project Officers - Land Inventory Protocol (LIPs) Distribution is responsible for implementing activities and community interventions in the land rights project. Participates in awareness raising on Mailo land rights and conflict mediation aimed at increasing harmony between landlords and tenants. S/he shall work directly with the District and Sub-county leadership to create awareness on the importance of the LIPs and lead the actual distribution at various villages. Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of a Bachelors' degree in Law, Development studies, Social Sciences or any related field + Diploma in Project Planning and Management.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in implementing similar projects within CSOs and working with community leadership.
  • Knowledge of land lights is a strong added advantage.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
