The International
Institute of Rural Reconstruction and Acholi Private Sector Development Company
is anticipating a 2-year project to be implemented in the Districts of Eastern
and Northern Uganda Districts of Bukedea, Bulambuli, Buyende, Iganga, Jinja,
Kamuli,Mbale, &Soroti in Maize value
and rice enterprise – Amuria, Bukedea, Bulambuli, Butaleja, Kamuli, Kween,
Namutumba, &Sironko, Amolatar, Gulu, Oyam, Pader for the maize enterprise
and Amolatar, Gulu Kitgum, Nebbi Oyam, Pader District. The project will
implemented along the Rice and Maize value chains
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The Team Leader must hold a Master’s Degree
in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, or other relevant fields.
· At least eight years of field experience in
rural development activities with credibility to provide leadership, direction,
support, oversight and technical knowledge in managing projects.
· Should understand the critical success
factors in community development and have designed and managed projects that
created real impact.
· Must have skills and experience in
agribusiness development, rural livelihoods, planning, development and
implementation of rural development projects.
· Must have managed a project with a budget
above $1M funded by international donors in the past 3 years
· Must have experience managing a national
project involving participation of Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and
Fisheries and multiple donors
