Job Summary: The Manager Data, Analytics and
Strategy-Flexipay will create a robust data and analytics strategy, for
flexiPay, consolidating and analysing all streams of internal and external data
sources, in order to use market, business, segment, customer insights to
develop innovative solutions to drive growth of the platform
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Strategy and
Business Planning
·
Define
the required data needs both internal and external and key sources for the
Data, including customer insights and unstructured market data.
·
Define
key data use cases and how that data will be turned into insights capturing
critical business insights that will inform decision making, improve operations
and generate value.
·
Data
governance. Development of the long term Management Information road map with
overall responsibility for ethically Collecting and storing data, especially
personal data, in line with legal and regulatory obligations.
·
Together
with the leadership team, developing a clear business strategy based on the
Data insights and Analytics.
·
Support
the budgeting process by providing aggregated performance data and forecast
models
·
Working
with the rest of the team on sales and marketing interventions to drive
customer utilisation of the solution
Reporting and
Insights
·
Build
models and tools for assessing the balance sheet, income statement and risk
impact, identifying potential challenges and forecasts performance in order to
allow for optimization of resources
·
Measure,
analyze and report performance against strategic and operational goals,
budgets, key risk indicators, customer and product level and recommends actions
to improve performance
·
Complete
on-going trend analysis, produce forecasts and recommendations for
change/improvements to business systems and processes
·
Monitor
and report trends in the market, product, segments and portfolio performance
and recommend appropriate action
·
Manage
ad-hoc report requests and data enquiries from various areas of the business
Customer Service
·
Drive
improvement to the Management Information solutions.
·
Review
and resolve Management Information issues logged in a timely manner and as
required include third parties
·
Work
closely with individuals in various areas of the business to understand and
document their requirements
People Management
·
Developing
data-related competencies for the team boosting the in-house talent
·
Provide
required resources, systems and processes to support the achievement of work
goals
·
Agree
performance contracts, monitor performance, review and appraise direct reports
in order to maintain performance at required levels
·
Arrange
for training for direct reports in line with personal development and talent
development plans
·
Identify
key talent and manage succession planning
·
Plan for
utilization of leave for direct reports while maintaining quality customer
service
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
ideal candidate for the Stanbic Bank Manager Data, Analytics and
Strategy-Flexipay job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics,
Finance, Information Management, Information Science, Economics or related
field
·
Certifications:
SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase) BI Platforms (BOBJ, Cognos, Business
Objects, QlikView) SAS
·
Relevant
postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
·
A
minimum of five years in Retail markets and product lines.
·
Experience
of at least two years in leading teams.
·
Sound
and thorough knowledge of Standard Bank Africa’s credit risk management
policies and procedures.
·
Working
knowledge of Operational and Market Risk.
·
Broad
knowledge of the applicable Acts and Bank manuals.
·
Knowledge
and understanding of the regulatory environment governing financial services in
the countries.
·
An
Understanding of key sales and marketing strategies
