Job Summary:  The Key Account Manager will be responsible
for expanding Liquid Satellite Services business across Africa by pushing sales
and managing commercial proposals. Increasing revenue and margin through
proactive selling and deal negotiations with partners. Manage key accounts
across the African continent and grow both the reseller and Enterprise customer
base.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

Account Management

·       
Proactively
work with existing customers to grow wallet share

·       
Maintain
and develop existing customer relationship and increase stickiness

·       
Attend
regular meetings with customers to ensure satisfaction with existing services
and new opportunities

·       
Manage
customer requirements and expectations during the sales cycle

·       
Ensure
all new accounts are brought on in line with the customer onboarding process

·       
Initiate,
maintain and grow key relationships with key stakeholders throughout the
customer base

·       
Ensure
full adherence to the pricing process

·       
Work
with customers to rectify any account-based issues or disputes

Business
Development & Sales

·       
Target
new customers to expand Satellite & VSAT services across the African
continent

·       
Draft or
review commercial offers and RFP responses to ensure best possible quality and
accuracy of commercial offer

·       
Proactively
pursue new customer network sales

·       
Form
Strategic relationships with satellite operators based on the expansion of
service region, offerings and new opportunities

·       
Source
new creative ideas to develop the Satellite Services business including
potential new product additions to the portfolio

·       
Increase
Efficiency in Business Operations

·       
Support
product development efforts by researching equivalent products solutions to
meet sales and product development needs

·       
Attend
industry conferences and trade shows

·       
Actively
monitor pricing within the markets to ensure competitiveness

Risk Management

·       
Evaluate
Partners with payment risk and ensure debt remains manageable

·       
Ensure
minimum risk commercial agreements are in place when signing new resellers

·       
Liaise
with group finance to reduce financial risk by assessment of new partners

·       
Ensure
any and all risks are identified to the business in a timely manner

Group Reporting

·       
Ensure
all opportunities are logged in SFDC and updated correctly at each stage of the
process

·       
Analysis
of sales margins to achieve a group set minimum

·       
Monthly
sales target tracking, and any corrective action required to achieve it if
behind

·       
Quarterly
forecast planning

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate must hold a Matric diploma or Equivalent higher education
certification

·       
Five
years of experience in commercial role within the telecommunications industry –
Essential

·       
Two
years of experience in a commercial role within the Satellite Services sector
is an added advantage

·       
Two
years of Satellite product or solution sales role is an added advantage

·       
Knowledge
of the African markets

·       
Knowledge
of the African ICT sector

·       
Knowledge
of Africa ISP’s

·       
Ability
to interpret and draw conclusions from data

·       
Good
communication and social skills

·       
Work in
small team, self-motivated, determined to succeed and not afraid to make
decisions

·       
Ability
to handle pressure and enjoy the challenge of hitting targets

·       
Enjoy
interacting with international colleagues and helping others to achieve
personal, team and company objectives

·       
Excellent
interpersonal and communications skills

·       
Availability
to travel to different countries
