Job Summary:  Watoto
is seeking to recruit a Clinical Psychologist to provide high-quality and
efficient psychotherapy services to Watoto children, mothers and the
surrounding community members with rehabilitation needs.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
To
provide evidence-based psychotherapy services to Watoto clients.

·       
To
develop policies and guidelines as pertaining to psychotherapy.

·       
To
provide child psychotherapy services to children with medical rehabilitation
needs.

·       
To
provide cognitive behavioural therapy to children, adolescents and youth with
medical rehabilitation needs.

·       
To
initiate and take part in audits and research projects in liaison with the
rehabilitation coordinator and the Medical team leader.

·       
To
conduct Inter-Disciplinary information and case management team meetings.

·       
To
conduct group therapy sessions and counselling services for mothers and
children with rehabilitation needs.

·       
To
sensitize patients and caregivers regarding psychological needs and Train Baby
Watoto nannies in psychological development of children with rehabilitation
needs.

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant for the Watoto Child Care Ministries Clinical Psychologist role
should have a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology.

·       
At least
two years’ experience as a clinical psychologist preferably in child psychology
and mental health in a large and busy organisation.

·       
The
applicant should be a team player, result oriented, and able to work under
minimum supervision.

·       
The
ability to build rapport with patients from a variety of backgrounds.
