not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the
Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a
Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres
of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa
and Eastern Europe.

 

Job Summary:  The Regional Project Coordinator will coordinate
and monitor the implementation of the HIV/TB implementation plan in the Sub
Cluster one districts in western Uganda under Baylor-Uganda as the
Sub-recipient (SR) for the Global Fund/TASO grant.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Coordinate
the implementation of HIV/TB implementation plan in the Cluster one districts
and monitor performance against the set targets.

·       
Initiate
and monitor the procurement plan; distribution and utilization of all supplies
for the TB/HIV project in line with the Global Fund policy guidance.

·       
Build
capacity of Prevention officers and prevention assistants in the cluster
districts, and other community stakeholders to deliver comprehensive HIV
prevention services to Adolescents, and other priority populations in the
cluster districts through training and mentorship.

·       
Implement
quality assurance plan that ensures delivery of a comprehensive and impactful
HIV prevention program in alignment with the implementation plan.

·       
Prepare
and avail timely periodic performance progress reports on the HIV/TB project
under the Global Fund/TASO grant.

·       
Provide
leadership to the cluster project team that ensures timely staff recruitment,
their retention and performance through timely performance appraisal, coaching
and professional development in line with the organizational policy.

·       
Develop
and maintain effective corporate, government, and community partnerships while
strengthening the community engagement in HIV Prevention.

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant must hold a postgraduate qualification in public health related field
OR qualification in humanities with a solid experience in health related work
with supervisory responsibility.

·       
Bachelor’s
degree in a health related discipline or humanities from a recognized
institution.

·       
Three years
of experience in managing or coordinating health programs; working with a
reputable NGO; and working with government entities and district led Technical
Assistance programs.

·       
Have Key
personal competences in communication skills; must be dynamic, and ready to
spent 80% the time in field activities.
